What happened

Dubai's Media Office said two drones fell in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport (DXB) at around 11:38 a.m. local time on 11 March 2026, injuring four people: two Ghanaian nationals and one Bangladeshi national with minor injuries, and one Indian national with moderate injuries. Takeoffs were briefly paused but air traffic at DXB continued operating normally overall. The UAE Ministry of Defence separately reported detecting 1,475 Iranian drones since 28 February, with 1,385 intercepted and 90 recorded land impacts nationwide, and this incident was attributed to that broader campaign. This is a separate, earlier incident from the 16 March 2026 strike on a fuel tank near the same airport recorded elsewhere on this site.
