Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree announced on 14 September that the group had conducted a large-scale operation against King Khalid Air Base at Khamis Mushait using dozens of ballistic missiles and drones. He named fighter-aircraft hangars, radar installations, runways and ammunition depots as targets and claimed direct hits and major losses. The statement did not specify when the alleged operation occurred. Saudi authorities had not confirmed an impact at the base, damage, casualties or operational interruption, and no independently verified imagery or damage assessment was available in the reviewed reporting. An earlier Houthi claim named the same base during the coordinated 8 September attack wave; because the later statement's operation time is unclear, this record must not be treated as proof of a distinct second strike or counted as a confirmed impact.
