What happened
An Iranian missile strike on Prince Sultan Air Base, a hub for Operation Epic Fury, damaged five U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker refueling aircraft, according to two U.S. officials cited by the Wall Street Journal; no personnel were killed in this strike. President Trump disputed the severity, saying four of the five aircraft had “virtually no damage” and were already operational, with the fifth expected back in service shortly. U.S. Central Command declined to comment. This is a separate, earlier incident from the 27 March 2026 strike on the same base recorded elsewhere on this site.
