What happened

Ukrnafta said Russian drones struck facilities belonging to its regional production units in Sumy region overnight on 3 September. The impacts damaged equipment and started a fire, which the State Emergency Service had localised when the company published its statement. Ukrnafta said personnel were in shelters and no one was injured. The company did not identify the facilities, publish coordinates, quantify the damage or say whether oil or gas production was interrupted. The marker is therefore an approximate Sumy-region reference rather than a strike location.
