What happened
Yemen’s internationally recognized government said two missiles targeted Aden International Airport on 16 October. Information Minister Moammar al-Eryani said they landed approximately 500 metres from a Yemenia aircraft preparing to depart for Cairo and about 100 metres from the centre of the runway. He said passengers and crew were safe. These distances and attribution are the minister’s account; they are not independently verified impact coordinates. No casualties were reported, and the reviewed report did not establish physical damage or a sustained interruption to operations. This is a separate event from the 7 October airport attack. The marker identifies the airport, not a precise impact point.
When cited sources give different casualty, damage or spill figures for this event, they’re reported side by side above rather than merged into one number. See how confidence levels work.
