What happened

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed the group used drones and missiles against an unidentified military base in Sharurah, in Saudi Arabia's Najran region. He provided no evidence and did not state when the operation occurred. Saudi civil defence reported warning sirens in the province on 12 September but announced no casualties, damage or confirmed impact at the claimed target. A subsequent MenchOsint post interpreted low-resolution Sentinel-2 false-colour imagery from 13 September as showing possible changes around two helicopter positions and another unidentified change near the apron. At Sentinel-2 resolution, those features cannot reliably establish that helicopters were present, identify the objects or demonstrate weapon impacts; the assessment is retained as an unverified OSINT interpretation, not confirmation of direct hits or aircraft losses. The base was not named in the Houthi statement and the marker is an approximate Sharurah city reference rather than an impact coordinate.
