What happened

Kuwait's military confirmed an Iranian ballistic-missile attack on Ali Al-Salem Air Base, which hosts American and other international forces, on 28 February 2026, part of Iran's retaliation for joint Israeli-U.S. strikes on Iranian targets earlier that day. Interceptions caused fragments and debris to fall near the base; no casualties were reported at Ali Al-Salem itself. U.S. Central Command did not issue a damage statement regarding the base. This is a separate, earlier incident from the 30 May 2026 strike on the same base recorded elsewhere on this site.
