What happened

A drone struck Terminal 1 at Kuwait International Airport on 28 February 2026, causing limited material damage and minor injuries to several airport employees, according to Kuwait's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which activated emergency procedures. Public reporting was inconsistent on attribution: some accounts described the drone as Iranian, but the DGCA's own account did not assign responsibility, so this record does not adopt an attacker. This is a separate, earlier incident from the 12 March 2026 drone strike on the same airport recorded elsewhere on this site.

When cited sources give different casualty, damage or spill figures for this event, they’re reported side by side above rather than merged into one number. See how confidence levels work.
