What happened

Kurdish authorities said they intercepted 10 explosive-laden drones in the Erbil area early on 2 September. Iranian television reported that American bases in Erbil had been targeted, and the IRGC separately claimed that its ground forces used missiles and drones against U.S. facilities, including a repair facility, technical-equipment warehouses and a surveillance-balloon control system. Iraq and the United States had not confirmed those target or damage claims in the reviewed reporting. This record therefore documents the independently reported interceptions while retaining the claimed U.S.-base targeting and damage as unverified.
