What happened
Houthi-controlled Al-Masirah initially reported 32 Saudi-backed airstrikes across Taiz, Hodeidah, al-Jawf and Marib, then raised the claimed total to 48 strikes over 12 hours and added Bayda and Saada. Associated Press could not independently verify the operation, and Saudi-backed forces had not commented. The claim followed Houthi attacks on southern Saudi Arabia that struck oil facilities and utilities and wounded 73 people, but the reviewed reports did not identify the targets of this alleged Yemen strike wave as energy infrastructure. Claimed by Yemen's Houthis
Houthi spokesman Nasruddin Amer attributed the strikes to Saudi-backed forces; Saudi authorities had not confirmed the operation in the reviewed report.
