What happened

Houthi authorities accused Saudi Arabia of striking the Central Corrective Facility in Hazm, Al Jawf, on 7 September. By 9 September, rescuers had recovered more bodies and Houthi officials reported at least 23 people killed, seven injured and seven still missing. Houthi-run Al-Masirah aired footage showing the collapsed facility and rescue activity. A Houthi military spokesman alleged that a Saudi F-15SA from King Khalid Air Base carried out the strike, but Saudi authorities had not responded. The visible destruction supports that a damaging incident occurred at the facility; the attacker, weapon and casualty totals remain attributed rather than independently verified.
