Ukraine's military said its forces struck the Togliattikauchuk chemical plant in Togliatti and caused a fire. Reuters described the facility as one of Russia's largest synthetic-rubber producers and reported Ukraine's statement that it also makes fuel additives used in missile fuel. Samara governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev separately confirmed that Ukrainian drones attacked industrial facilities in the region, but he did not identify Togliattikauchuk, say whether those facilities were damaged or provide a production impact. Togliatti's mayor reported damage to residential buildings and one injury in the wider attack, but the reporting did not link that casualty to the plant. Reuters could not independently verify the competing accounts.
