What happened

A regional drone warning was declared across the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug early on 19 September, while temporary flight restrictions were introduced at four regional airports, including Novy Urengoy. Russia's Defence Ministry reported Ukrainian drones intercepted over the region during a much wider overnight wave. Dialog.UA, citing its analysis of social-media reports, characterised the episode as a renewed attack on strategic energy sites, but did not identify a target, publish site-specific impact evidence or establish damage. Regional reporting later said the warning had ended and that no destruction or casualties had been reported.
