What happened

Explosions and an apparent drone strike were reported near CHP-22 in Dzerzhinsky during the mass attack on Moscow and Moscow Oblast overnight on 19–20 September. Open-source videos were geolocated to the vicinity of the station by OSINT analysts cited by The Insider and the Demilitarizator project. The approximately 1,365 MW combined heat-and-power station supplies electricity and heat to southeastern Moscow, Dzerzhinsky and much of the Lyubertsy district, and Mosenergo identifies it as a supplier of process steam to the nearby Moscow oil refinery. Russian authorities had not acknowledged a strike on the station, and the reviewed reporting did not establish an impact point, physical damage, fire, generation loss, heat outage or interruption to refinery operations.
